Because one roll of Topwrap 2000 wraps more bales you buy fewer rolls of film.  So if you use 34 rolls of film to wrap 1,000 bales, you will only need 26 rolls of Topwrap 2000 to do the same job.  That's 8 rolls less to buy, transport, change and dispose of. 

PRETECH System

Topwrap 2000 is made using a revolutionary process in which the film is stretched under controlled conditions before it goes on the roll, so you get more film on each roll. Specially formulated resins produce a strong film which seals more tightly and has better permeability characteristics, while retaining all the protective qualities of ordinary bale wrap. Together, this process and the new resins make Topwrap 2000 unique, giving real advantages to users

Volac Topwrap X-Treme 340

Introducing Topwrap X-treme 340

A Topwrap X-treme 340 is 340mm wide eco-green pre-stretched film, designed to meet the requirements of wrapping small haylage bales.  A pre-stretched film which combines high strength with low gas permeability.

Topwrap X-treme 340 can be used on a wide range of wrappers, with an optimum stretch of 32-38%.

Perfection in only four layers

A combination of modern manufacturing techniques and quality raw materials including high-carbon resins has given Volac Topwrap the strength and protection necessary for big bale silage wrapping. For high dry matter (greater than 40%) round bales, all square bales and heavy chopped bales, six layers are recommended. The number of bales per roll of film varies according to the size of the bale, the temperature of the film and how much pre-stretch is used. The following table illustrates the Volac Topwrap required for standard 1.2m x 1.2m bales with the film stretched to 70%.

Volac Topwrap Eco-Green film

Features and benefits

Variations in the surface temperature of a wrapped bale will affect the quality of the silage and the degree of spoilage. Higher temperatures encourage spoilage organisms such as yeasts, moulds and clostridia.

Research has shown that the colour of the film can significantly influence the surface temperature of the bale by up to 20°C. Higher temperatures increase the permeability of the film to air and the resulting combination of air and heat in the humid conditions inside the bale are ideal for the growth of spoilage organisms, which leads to the loss of valuable nutrients.

Volac Topwrap Eco-Green film has been specifically designed to minimise temperature variations in all weathers, helping prevent proliferation of spoilage organisms all year round, making it ideal for all UK and Irish field conditions.

Volac Topnet is a well proven, high specification netwrap for baled silage, made from premium raw materials. 

Volac Topnet is designed to remain tangle free in the baler and give edge to edge coverage of the bale. With the elimination of shoulders, bales are perfectly shaped for better handling, wrapping, transport and storage.
